Our Christmas tree fields make a beautiful backdrop for any photo. You may also enjoy using many things you would find on a farm, such as a 100-year-old wood shed, antique one-horse open sleigh, firewood stacks, a 1956 Red and Gray Ford Tractor, and a large red barn. You may also bring your own props. If you need help with larger props (things not easily hand-carried), let us know at booking. Upon your arrival, we'll have our trailer ready to transport you and your equipment to your shooting spot. After your session, we'll bring the trailer to your location to assist with loading props, and then drive them back to your vehicle.

Please help us keep our farm clean by refraining from using non-biodegradable materials such as glitter, confetti, and fake snow. Kindly dispose of any trash or debris properly.

Vehicles are NOT allowed in Christmas tree fields under any circumstances.

Use care and caution around trees. No trees may be trimmed, cut, or harvested by the photographer or clients. Total retail price will be due for any product damaged/harvested.

The farm is not a park! Beware of insects, thorns, poison ivy, stumps, holes, uneven ground, and other natural threats. You and your clients MUST WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES TO WALK OUT TO TREE FIELD. You can change shoes after getting to the location.

Sessions are $30 per hour. Payment is due at the time of booking. A 10% discount will be applied if you book 4 or more hours in one day. All sessions are by appointment only (no walk-ups).

Nelson Ridge Farm is a private, working farm not open to the public. During private sessions, only the photographer and the client will be on the property during their booked time. Sessions are booked back-to-back, make sure to schedule enough time for each client.

No Saturday sessions will be booked after Thanksgiving Day.

Pets are welcome; they must be leashed at all times and always picked up after.

We have a portable restroom available.  

If you need to cancel your session, you can do so up to 48 hours before the scheduled date and receive a full refund, even in inclement weather. If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled session, we will do our best to reschedule it at your convenience. Kindly note that you must request a refund by sending an email.

Photographer and photographer’s clients will hold harmless Nelson Ridge Farm any injuries sustained during photography sessions. Photographers must sign the photography agreement and waiver and submit a signed form to Nelson Ridge Farm before the session.
